REPAOC: Identification mission to Monrovia (Liberia)

The Network of Platforms for NGOs in West and Central Africa (REPAOC) carried out a mission to Monrovia, Liberia, from 7 to 9 June to identify the Civil Society Organization Become a member of REPAOC.This mission is part of the project “Support of NGO Platforms in West Africa”, funded by the European Union, which aims to broaden the representativeness of REPAOC to all the countries of the Economic Community of States Of West Africa (ECOWAS).

 The mission consisted of a team of two persons: a member of the Board of Directors (BCA), Mr. Ousman Yabo (Treasurer) and a member of the Regional Coordination, Ms. Logbé Carine J.M. MOBIO (Program Manager). The team met and exchanged with civil society actors from Liberia; As well as technical and financial partners.

14 ECOWAS countries are represented at REPAOC: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Gambia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Guinea and Togo, including Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau and Sierra Leone which were admitted at the general meeting of January 2016.

All for a regional integration of a group of countries aware of the limits of national policies and wanting to optimize their chances of development.
