Within the 2017 African – European Union Summit process, the Steering Committee of Civil Society Organizations (CSO) from both continents had a preparatory meeting in Dakar from 05 to 06 March 2017 to prepare for the Intercontinental CSOs Forum scheduled to take place in June 2017.
During two days, participants discussed on:
The lessons learning came out from the last forum in 2014 in Brussels,
The criteria of the participants selection,
The topic of the Forum,
The action plan until and beyond the Forum
The two steering Committee met the African Union representative Dr Kouassi René (Director of Economic Affairs).
A lot of commitments were made for the follow up.
